Boxing empowerment uses the art of boxing and mentoring as a vehicle for positive change to empower young people and adults.
Champions 4 Change Wellbeing CIC aims to inspire clients to make positives decisions for themselves by using a structured approach to physical exercise and personal development.
The objectives of our boxing empowerment programme are to:
- Improve health and fitness whilst learning the art of boxing
- Build positive relationships
- Develop confidence and self-esteem
- Manage emotions in a constructive way and relieve stress.
Goal setting and self appraisal
Prior to the commencement of our boxing empowerment sessions, attendees will attend a goal setting workshop where they are supported with personal goals and developing a clear plan of action of how to achieve them. Our aim is to improve the mental and physical well-being of all members.
At the end of Part 1 – Boxing Fundamentals, attendees are given the opportunity to conduct self assessment of their initial goals which is supported peer review.
After the self assessment and peer review session, attendees are given the opportunity to reassess their initial goals and to realign their action plans to include achievable objectives for Part 2 – Boxing Empowerment.
